Description
Literature: Llewellyn, Sacha, and Paul Liss. Portrait of an Artist. Liss Llewellyn, 2021, p.234.
Bone’s rapidly painted ‘en plein air’ sketches were the subject of popular one-man shows at Leferve, Redfern, The Leceister Galleries and The Fine Art Society. His remarkable productivity (he aimed to paint at least one panel a day) was only curtailed by the fact that he died prematurely – at the age of 54. He painted his wife Mary at work on several occasions.
