In 1952 Dunbar was asked by agricultural lecturer Derek Chapman, a colleague of her husband, Roger Folley, to illustrate A Farm Dictionary, an entry-level lexicon of agricultural terms. She contributed c.100 small drawings, of which Yoke was one. Profiled lips and chins and a splendid hairdo have no connection with bits of harness and a suggestion for the title page. Dunbar is rarely reluctant to include incongruous and unconnected sketches on the same sheet of paper.
