Printed by Editions “Aux Alliés” Paris this postcard was one in a series of fourteen cards depicting the allies as butterflies and the enemy as beetles or wasps: these comprise Angleterre, France, Belgique, Italie, Serbie, Montenegro, Roumanie, Russie, Japon, Allemagne, Autriche, Turquie & Bulgarie and  Amerique., (Amerique not being printed till 1917 or 1918).
