DESCRIPTION

This drawing shows a number of disabled British tanks at the Battle of Ypres. 

The Menin Road was the subject of Paul Nash’s iconic oil painting  completed in 1919.

Along with Christopher Nevinson, Nash made a special study of the experience of the Third Battle of Ypres.
