Having volunteered in 1932 to take part in the mural decorations for Brockley County School for Boys (now Prendergast – Hilly Fields 6th Form Centre, Brockley, SE London) Dunbar expanded the original scheme to include an extensive panorama of the Hilly Fields parkland. Her panorama included boyish after-school activities, here sketched to include playing marbles (possibly called ‘alleys’ at that time) and, less creditably, birds-nesting, while two small agonised birds react helplessly.
